John Carpenter’s Iconic “HALLOWEEN” Thriller Continues to Spook and Delight Fans Worldwide through Merchandise

Los Angeles, CA – In 1978, John Carpenter created one of the most iconic villains in film history, Michael Myers, with the film “Halloween.” Since then, fans from all over the world have flocked to stores and online retailers to revisit and celebrate the classic tale of Michael Myers, Laurie Strode, and Dr. Loomis through collectible merchandise. Now, nearly 40 years later, fan enthusiasm for the film is as strong as ever and not just during the month of October.

A collectible “Halloween” art poster from Bottleneck Gallery was released in the spring of 2017, months away from the Halloween holiday, but that did not deter fans. The poster had an enormous release (evidencing the perennial popularity of the film), with demand for that one poster being the strongest Bottleneck has ever received. Joe Bouganim discussed the development of the poster and said, “Halloween’ has so many iconic scenes and moments it was hard to decide which to focus on. We ultimately went with featuring the pumpkin because it is such a seminal part of the film, but often not given the attention we think it deserves.”

Upcoming games for “Halloween” include a beautifully crafted online gambling game from Microgaming. The audience for this game are players outside the United States, namely the UK and Europe. “The mechanics on the ‘Halloween’ game from Microgaming are truly exceptional. They developed new pay tables and new ways to win that I think fit beautifully within the game” said Stephanie Kupperman, Director of Business Development for Creative Licensing.

“Halloween” is not just popular with gamers, as fans can choose from a variety of collectible merchandise to show their appreciation. Such items include apparel from UK manufacturer Park Agencies, apparel from the Australian manufacturer Licensing Essentials, a limited-edition art poster from Bottleneck gallery, and a collectible pin set from CreepyCo.

At booth F72 at Brand Licensing Europe, Creative Licensing will be showcasing some of the newest, high-end pieces from the “Halloween” collectibles program, and will preview the 40th anniversary logo for 2018!
