Mr Bean builds on phenomenal digital growth with latest commercial ventures

Amsterdam, London 09/10/17 -- Global content creator, producer and distributor Endemol Shine Group, today announced a raft of digital commercial ventures for the Mr Bean brand across gaming, mobile and ecommerce. The latest news follows a successful year for the brand which now boasts more than 75 million fans on Facebook alone.

Endemol Shine Group’s games studio and publishing label Good Catch will be launching a number of new Mr Bean mobile gaming titles. The first in a series of Mr Bean one-tap games from Good Catch, will be launched later this year. And coming soon will be a brand new racing game featuring an animated Mr Bean in his iconic car, facing a series of challenges. Following the success of the Mr Bean around the World app, with more than 17 million downloads to date, Good Catch will also release an updated version with a number of collectible hats for Mr Bean with special powers.

Building on the popularity of Mr Bean retail products, Star Editions have been appointed licensee for the brand’s ecommerce activity in a deal which will see Star Editions create a bespoke online shopping destination for Mr Bean products. The newly created web shop will feature a Star Editions designed range of customised giftware, in addition to hosting a number of Mr Bean branded products. Recent activity includes the launch of the Mr Bean Lock Screen App from IconLogin Limited which is available on Android. And launching later this month is the previously announced interactive mobile match-3 game Play London with Mr Bean in partnership with the Mayor of London’s official promotional agency London & Partners and entertainment and marketing platform Pointvoucher. Play London with Mr Bean will feature an animated Mr Bean visiting scores of tourist attractions in central and outer London. The mobile game aims to attract UK and international visitors to the city by introducing players to hidden treasures all over the city and offering great rewards.

Mr Bean is a global sensation, broadcast in 195 territories with over 25 years in continual distribution. The brand has also seen phenomenal digital growth, currently averaging 300 million monthly online views. Recently overtaking the likes of Taylor Swift and Harry Potter, Mr Bean is now the number 1 entertainment brand on Facebook with over 75million fans, growing on average by 200,000 fans per week.
