Creative Licensing Adds Puppet Master, Creature, and Parasomnia to its Growing Roster of Iconic Horror Films

Los Angeles, CA -  Charles Band, creator of the critically acclaimed Puppet Master franchise,  has appointed Creative Licensing as its worldwide licensing agent and brand manager. In this role, Creative Licensing will build off of existing Puppet Master brand partnerships, and expand into new categories including, collectible figures, novelties, art posters, costumes, publishing and games.

President and CEO of Creative Licensing, Rand Marlis, explains, “the original 1989 Puppet Master film spawed the franchise that now includes 11 sequals, a comic book spin-off and numerous other collectors items. This franchise is rich with unique characters including, most notably, the animatronic puppets that fans ‘love to hate.’ We look forward to finding new avenues for fans to engage with the brand”

Charles Band, creator of Full Moon Features and the Puppet Master movies, adds “I’m excited that our Puppet Master franchise is now being represented by Creative Licensing and is in such great company with so many other iconic films such as, Terminator, Rambo, Halloween, and Evil Dead 2.

Along with Puppet Master, Creative Licensing added the cult horror films, Creature and Parasomnia to its roster. Stephanie Kuppperman, director of business development at Creative Licensing, explains “Creature is a classic alien sci-fi film that paved the way for many of the breakout science fiction films of the 1980’s and 90’s. It features early special effects work by Robert and Dennis Skotak, who would go on to design the special effects for Aliens.

Parasomnia was inspired by dystopian surrealsim and produced some of the most awe-inspiring, artistically creative villians of that year, including the infamuos ‘death clock’ seen above. Both films were directed by William Malone, who subsequnetly directed House on the Haunted Hill.  ”

Creative Licensing will present Puppet Master, Creature, and Parasomnia at booth F68 at Brand Licensing Europe, in London.
